This piece explores the tension between self-preservation and connection. Curled inward, the figure appears both guarded and vulnerable, using the very blades that protect it to conceal itself. The posture reflects a familiar human experience: offering care, understanding and protection to others while struggling to expose our own emotions.
In this way, the protector and the protected become one and the same. The work asks: how often do we build walls around ourselves in the act of caring for others?
